United Kingdom - Top Up TV brings Sky Sports to Freeview

Top Up TV [the pay TV operator which is available on special DVB-T set top boxes in the UK] has confirmed that it will bring Sky Sports 1 and Sky Sports 2 to over 10 million Freeview homes in the UK when it launches its new sports packs on August 20th. The announcement follows competitor BT Vision’s [using IPTV and DVB-T hybrid) decision to offer the channels on Freeview.

Ukraine - DVB-T2 trial underway in Odessa

The regional broadcast network operator Odessa RTPC launched a trial using the DVB-T2 standard on 24 June 2010.
