United Kingdom - 3D/DTT Olympic Games schedule published

The BBC has confirmed the full 3D schedule for the Olympics. All 3D content will be available on the DTT platform from the television programme service BBC HD.

The BBC will broadcast the Opening Ceremony on 27 July from 20.50-00.00, the Men's 100 metre final on 5 August from 20.30-22.00, the Olympic Games review on 12 August from 20.00-21.00 and the Closing Ceremony on 12 August from 21.00-00:30.

In addition, a highlights package in 3D will also be available each day.

This coverage is part of an ongoing 2 year trial to test the production, distribution, and demand for 3DTV. Already, 3D content has been available during the Wimbledon tennis championship.
