Finland - DNA expects pay-DTT growth in 2012

In its Interim Report for the period from January - June 2012, the pay-DTT platform operator DNA suggested that the competitive situation remains tight.

However, it expects that its DTT platform services will grow albeit slowly. In 2012, DNA anticipates that its pay-DTT services will grow since the most appealing sport content will only be available on pay television platforms.

The DNA DTT network uses the DVB-T2 standard and offers both free-to-air and pay-DTT services. The DVB-T2 network was completed on 20 June following the switch on of services at the Palomäki, Kouvola transmitter site. The DVB-T2 network is available to 85% of the population.
