Poland - Average of 12,000 HbbTV users per EURO match
The public service broadcaster TVP has declared that its broadcast / broadband service, known as TVP Interaktywna, to be a success.
The service launched on 8 June alongside the EURO 2012 Football Championship.
According to TVP, an average of 12,000 viewers used the service during each EURO 2012 Championship game. Viewers were able to access additional information about the UEFA Championship, including statistical data.
As a next step, TVP plans to launch trial interactive services for news, with a regional focus, and the weather. TVP has formed a partnership with Sony to jointly market the new services.
The broadcast / broadband service uses the HbbTV standard. It was available from the DTT delivery platform.
