France - DTT is the leading digital platform

According to the latest report presented by the broadcast regulator CSA, 99.3% of all television households access digital television services.

This is an increase of 7.7% compared with the data from one year ago. Digital television is available from 98.4% of all primary television sets and 82% of all secondary television sets.

The DTT platform is the leading digital platform, used by 61% of households for their primary television services. ADSL is used in 30.8% of households while satellite and digital cable are used in 22.5% and 8% of households, respectively.

In addition, 95% of all households that access analogue terrestrial television prior to the completion of analogue switch-off adopted the DTT platform.
