Spain - RTVE renounces launch of Canal Cultural on DTT platform

The public service broadcaster RTVE has announced that it will no longer launch its cultural service, Canal Cultural, on the DTT platform.

According to RTVE, this decision has been taken for financial reasons. Content initially planned for Canal Cultural will be made available on RTVE's service La 2.

The capacity on the DTT platform initially reserved for Canal Cultural will be used to provide a parliamentary service, Canal Parlamentario.
