Italy - Europa 7 HD to launch DVB-T2 services in June

The commercial broadcaster Europa 7 has announced its plans to launch HD services on the DTT platform.

In June, Europa 7 will make its DTT set-top box, 7 Box HD, available to viewers in June in time for the new service launch. Europa 7 will provide viewers with access to 8 pay HD television services using the DVB-T2 standard.

The broadcaster will use frequencies in the VHF band alloated to it by the government in July 2009.
