United Kingdom - Pace makes available first Freeview+ HD receiver

The consumer electronics manufacturer Pace has announced the availability of the first Freeview+ HD PVR in the United Kingdom at a price of £299 (€345).

The Philips HDT8520, designed by Pace, will allow viewers to access the HD services on the DTT platform that make use of the DVB-T2 standard. However, the receiver also provides recording functionality.

The receiver is equipped with a 500GB hard drive and two tuners to allow viewers tp watch one programme while recording another.
