France - ASO completed in Pays de la Loire
Analogue switch-off has been completed in the region of the Pays de la Loire in the northwestern part of France.
At midnight on the night of 17-18 May, all analogue and digital terrestrial television services were switched off.
DTT services were progressively re-started following adjustments made to the frequencies used and the power levels. The body responsible for leading digital switchover, France Télé Numérique, has asked households to re-scan their DTT receivers.
The DTT services from the four main transmission sites (Nantes, Laval, Le Mans, Angers) were available to viewers as of 10.00hr on 18 May while viewers relying on the 27 relay sites needed to wait until 19.40hr.
To help viewers prepare for analogue switch-off, all households in the region (1.2 million) were sent a 20 page guide by France Télé Numérique in mid-March.
Brittany will be the next region to switch-off analogue terrestrial services on 8 June.
