Slovakia - Lower-than-expected growth of DTT platform

According to the DTT platform operator Towercom, the take-up of DTT services is slower than initially expected.

Towercom estimates that only 10% of households will use DTT services while 18% of homes will continue to use analogue terrestrial. Penetration is expected to reach 12% in 2011.

Towercom operates one DTT multiplex which it launched in December 2009. Two further multiplexes, also operated by Towercom, will launch in June.
